Friedrich Sieggrün, the discoverer of Poseidon, called the experience of his discovery illumination (see Hamburger Hefte 4/95). The concept illumination is seldom used in our daily language. Not everybody is familiar with the meaning of this word. I would like therefore to connect some information from the AGNI YOGA life-teachings with the topic illumination in order to better understand this particular issue. Illumination is a spiritual experience, a learning proces and a sign of connection with the invisible, subtle worlds. Illumination leads to higher spheres of the light and into the boundlesness. Illumination is a rare event, it enhances awareness and true knowing flows into us. Illumination strikes in total unexpected moments, it is a complete natural situation. Illumination is according its being a blessing from above. The situation of illumination is called “fiery help”, one can approach such a blissfull awareness with all subtle feelings. Illumination can only enter through a conscious relation with the cosmic energies. The moment of illumination lightens up like a diamond. Conscious work is the condition for growth in awareness. Illumination can only manifest through conscious effort.

Bookknowledge does in no way bring illumination: therefore it is advised to strengthen the heart as the seat of illumination. Illumination can frighten those who don’t want illumination. The servants of demolition will try to erase the banner of illumination from the surface of the earth.

Spiritual astrology requires a conscious dedication to the higher world of light. Then a quality of astrology can be reached, which the ancient priest-astrologers already achieved. Illumination can only be reached by conscious efforts, it is the best help for self-realisation and awareness of one’s own life purpose.

Friedrich Sieggrün contributed a great deal to the development of the Hamburg School. Not only did he expand Witte’s concept with the 4 transneptunians Apollon, Admetos, Vulkanus and Poseidon, but Sieggrun also presented the Hamburg School at astrological conferences in Germany and defended courageously in strong verbal combats Witte’s acquisitions against the critics of the traditional astrology. It was Sieggrun who established with his universal rule an important foundation for the working method of the Hamburg School.

With his basic rule Sieggrun has formulated a usable work- hypothesis for our astrology, of which he says himself:

“ She has the same meaning as the gravitation of astronomy”.

In order to research the horoscope, we first want to raise the question how Poseidon is shown in the radix graphic of Friedrich Sieggrun. To my opinion Poseidon needs to be given special attention since his interpretations signal us in what way we personally are connected with the transcendental world and the higher dimensions in the cosmos. According to the Agni-Yoga teachings the New Age will be an age of synthesis, whereby a synthesis of the visible, material world and the invisible, subtle mental world - differing only to the degree of vibrations- needs to be considered as a special important focus of cooperation.

Summary:

In the Poseidon axis of Friedrich Sieggrun we recognise the influential leadership power, able to perceive through successfull concentration spiritual energies from the higher dimensions of the subtle, spiritual realm. Sieggrun has proven his research findings by his horoscope, stated them as truth and announced them publicly in an influential centre the Astrological Organisation Hamburg School (predecessor of the Astrological Study Centre Hamburg School).

The personality point SU + MC + PO

The personality point (PP) was introduced by Carl Perch, a master in the astrological techniques of the Hamburg School. Through this 3-fold sum of body (Sun)+soul (MC) + spirit (Poseidon) the trinity of the human being is expressed.

I have made good experiences with this personal point and therefore would like to work with it in this study of the horoscope of Friedrich Sieggrun, as his discovery of Poseidon is contained in this 3 fold sum. (Graphic 2)

The enrichment of the personality axis with sums and sensitive points in Graphic no. 2 intends to show that we just do not need to content ourselves with only the usual halfsums, which have however given us already an important insight in the core being of Friedrich Sieggrün. The use of the additional sums and sensitive points do reveal a closed symmetrical powerfield, and refer in particular to the spiritual qualities of the horoscope owner, accentuated and strengthened by the planetary pictures in the cornerpoints of the axis.

Summary:

Friedrich Sieggrun was a succesfull and influential astrological personality, who by means of a sensitive and intuitive perceptive ability solved important astrological issues and revealed a new cultural knowledge for the environment out of the realm of higher spiritual dimensions.

As a third task we want to research the moment in time of the discovery of Poseidon in the 3-fold view, natal, directed and transit. (Graphic no. 3)

It takes some time before we have oriented ourselves in this presentation. We work in this example 3 horoscopes and work with 3 x 21 factors. Due to the many factors we only gradually recognise the planetary pictures relevant for this event. The pointer of the axis of our research is placed on Poseidon in the natal position.

We recognize the following marked Poseidon equation:

With this Poseidon equation we have reached an excellent result and have documented the value of our mathematical working procedure. The Poseidon factors of the 3 levels: natal, direct and transit illustrate a symmetry-equation with a very small orb of only 31‘. The cosmos signals the attent observer that Poseidon in the horoscope of Sieggrun plays a very special role at that moment in time.

All halfsums of the natal-axis of Poseidon (graphic no. 1) are now triggered.

The following planetary pictures are responsible for the triggering:

(SU = MC) t day and minute of the discovery build together with the Aries point a symmetry. In the midpoint stand UR t together with Vulcanus full in the axis.

tendencies, this one enabled him to carry out a successful spiritual researchwork.

The informations from the personality-axis MC+SO+PO (Grafiv 2) have confirmed

his qualification as a creatot of “knowledge.”

The grafic 3 gives us informations about the development of the time, when his solar arc

Was 60°43 and shows us, that Friedrich Sieggrün lived in a special quality of time, when he was closed connected with theday of illumination to a harmonic wholeand a new influentiel knowledge. This poseidon-equation has a longtime effect, because PO d and PO t are slowly running factors that were effective already month before the day of the discovery. They have also worked after the discovery for a longer period. The equation informs us, that Friedrich Sieggrün has had a time of highest spititual activity and creativity during the time, when this structure has beeb formed.
